I went to Jacqui and Stuart’s house in Bryanston today to take photos of Oliver. Oliver is 4 weeks old and is Rhys’ baby brother. I took photos of Rhys when he was 9 weeks old last year May, and I’m thrilled that I got to take his brother’s baby photos too
Oliver was a breeze, and because he was very awake and not exactly new newborn anymore, I didn’t even try with the curled up photos… which made it a much more relaxed shoot for everyone. It was a challenge to get Rhys to play along with what we wanted to do, but I like what we got because in the end we went with what Rhys was comfortable with, and that makes for much more natural photos.

Rhys was much more interested in what was going on outside at this point…

Rhys was playing under the pillows while I was busy with Oliver… I couldn’t resist taking a few photos of him

I met the Lesley and Daniel and their 8 month old daugher, Rebecca, at Delta Park today… and they brought their spaniels, Henry and Chelsea, along for the shoot too.
It was an amazing photoshoot! Not only was the light absolutely perfect today, but Rebecca was the sweetest little thing ever who was full of smiles, and the dogs were so very good! It was also so awesome to find spots at the park that I hadn’t used before… like the big tree and the wild flowers in the grass.

I met Jack this afternoon, and OMW he’s cute, and I even got a little smile out of him! He’s the brand new addition to the Browne family, who you may recognise from their maternity shoot a few months ago. I went to their house in Sundowner for a lifestyle shoot this afternoon (this is much more my style than the studio versions of home baby shoots that I used to do…. and it’s a lot more relaxed for the families too)
Just as we got outside, I spotted their siamese cat… and she just sat just in front of Lee-Anne and regally posed… so of course I had to include her, I love the second image with her as the older baby ;)

Don’t you love his Superhero little onesie?

… and this plane was used as a prop in their maternity shoot

I met the Moodley family yesterday afternoon at their home in Horison Park for a photoshoot. Their 2 year old daughter Amala tried very very hard all afternoon to sit on my lap and take all the photos. She even wanted to take photos of me
LOL!! She was too cute! And her 4 month old baby sister Suvali is just too adorable for words and eventually smiled so very nicely for her mommy!

I fell in love with this wall along their driveway and just HAD to use it for some of the photos.

There are more photos from the afternoon on my Facebook page
Lauren contacted me months ago to do this photoshoot, but we kept having to postpone it for various reasons… and today was finally the day. I met up with Lauren and Richard and their 2 kids at the Mushroom Farm Park in the heart of Sandton this afternoon, and we took full advantage of the warm day and late sunset… and we had some fun with Dylan in the park
My word, 2 year old Dylan was busy, but so much fun… and he’s very proud to be a big brother to his 5 month old baby sister Sasha. Not that he wanted all that much to do with her today…. there were far too many interesting things to see in the park.

Isn’t Sasha’s hair just magnificent?! I haven’t seen a baby with that much hair in years!

What a gorgeous family!! I hope Lauren enjoys the last few weeks of her maternity leave.
