Gabriella and Buster’s wedding at Buitengeluk in Fourways yesterday was really stunning. It was a beautiful late morning intimate wedding with a few family members as guests.

I really love taking photos of small weddings. There’s something so special about the intimacy of the event.

The glass greenhouse at Buitengeluk was just perfect.

There were other guests having tea and lunch in the gardens but the restaurant didn’t have them close to the wedding party and we really didn’t notice them much. We only disturbed one couple when I took photos around the roses… but they were really beautiful so had to be used!

I wasn’t planning on taking photos of the getting ready, but I’m so glad I did! I love the chaos and realness of that part of the day’s story. I learnt something in the process too… dental floss works better to fix a heavy dress than plain cotton!

Gabby’s make-up was done by Kelly-Jean… we haven’t seen each other in years so it was so awesome to bump into her as she was finishing off.
