I took photos at Zac’s barmitzvah this weekend. I met the family on Friday to do photos at his last rehearsal. We then went to the Ethel and Gray Park for family photos. On Saturday I went to the family home in Linksfield to take photos at the lunch held to celebrate.

Zac’s barmitzvah took place at the Linksfield Shul. I really do enjoy taking photos of the boys last rehearsals… it’s quite emotional for parents because it’s the first time they listen to their son read their portion.

Before we left, Zac put on his Tefillin for a few photos.

After the rehearsal was over, we went to Ethel Gray Park in Melrose for photos with their extended family. Part of the family is visiting from Israel and another part is visiting from Australia, so the family photos were really special and important to do.

His simcha took place on Saturday after shul. It was a stunning lunch held at the family’s home in Linksfield.

Zac is a drummer, so it was fitting that there were 3 drummers doing their thing when you walked out onto the deck. Isn’t the view just magnificent?!

Just before the guests tucked into the most incredible braai’ed lunch, the family said a few speeches.

The entertainment for the afternoon was the hypnotist Max Kaan. It was so awesome! All the kids and quite a few adults wanted to get hypnotised.

In the end there were 6 people that got hypnotised.

It was such an amazing weekend spent with Zac and his family. Mazeltov again!
