Jo-Anne and Michael got engaged a few months ago, and I met them yesterday for a forest engagement shoot.

They haven’t ever had a photoshoot together, so this was great for them to try out before their big wedding day. I like that they chose a location that is very different to the place where they’re getting married. It makes for great variety in their photos.

The forest was the busiest I’ve ever seen it, so it was quite tricky in the end to dodge the other photographers. Thankfully I’ve been there quite a few times so I know what parts of the small forest works for my style. It also looked like the other photographers didn’t have the same ideas as I did! Thank goodness!

This is one of my favourites. I love the way they were looking at each other.

The next few months are going to busy with them planning their wedding. It’s great that they found a quiet moment to take photos.
