I didn’t have a shoot today… I actually can’t remember when last I had a Saturday free… and only my fur-kids were willing to let me take photos of them too, so I didn’t even really use my camera either!!
I just love the look of disdain that Kimo is giving me, and the fact that Kitara is trying very hard to ignore me too! As for our sad tree in the background… it did look magnificent until the legs broke last week and it’s actually propped up against the wall. I did go to try and replace it yesterday… but I can actually quite a nice piece of glass for the price that Lifestyle wanted to charge for a plastic tree!! It was slightly insane actually that the cheapest tree in stock was R2799!!

My first foray into Social Media happened more than 7 years ago when I started getting very involved in a local online mothers forum. Every Christmas a bunch of the moms would send each other’s kids cards for Christmas… via snail mail… the old fashioned kind of cards. The mom’s called themselves Merry Mailers. Well, that group got enormous, and I was far too lazy to send cards out to so many kids at Christmas, even though my kids LOVED getting cards addressed to themselves, even though they were so young.
Anyhoo, a few of us started a small group of Merry Mailers. It’s much more manageable, and this is the 3rd year (I think) that the group has been going. Now that Bradley can read and write, and he understands more about the world, he’s LOVING it so much more, especially when there’s photos of them included in the card somehow. The moms, and sometimes the kids, put so much effort into the cards, and most of them are handmade. All of them are addressed from the kids to the kids, and we send the cards across the world. Bradley is fascinated that he’s never met some of the kids, yet I know so much about them, and they’re sending him stuff.
So my photo tonight, is of the cards that the kids have received so far this Christmas…

Woot!! 30 days to go in my 365 photo-a-day challenge!! I’m getting tired now… and so are the kids… but it’s all good. Today however, the photo ended up being chosen by tweeters because I couldn’t make my mind up.
