On the subject of trees (I won a tree last year at the award ceremony which I brought back to JHB on the plane), Connor tried his very very best to climb this tree on Sunday… not that he got very far at all.

In September 2008, I took a photo like the one below, but I wasn’t happy with the clarity of Elaine’s hands in the shot, so I didn’t submit it to camera club (which was the intention).

I took the shot again this week, and this time, I’ve converted into Black and White.  I think it works this time, what do you think?

I went to a park close to my house this afternoon to make sure that the gates were open and it was suitable for my photoshoot that I’m doing there tomorrow morning.  I just love all the Cabbage trees and natural rocks that are in the area, and I think if I get the angles of the shots right, that it’ll look like we’re far out of town.  So wish me luck for tomorrow, it’ll be my second family photoshoot.

Ooh and I discovered a playground in the park, which I didn’t know was there; so hopefully I can get some fun shots too before the kids get bored of me and my camera
