My boys love playing with this Tonka truck, and it’s the most sturdy toy that they have.  Connor was using it like a wheelchair today and wheeling himself around my parent’s house, so I had to ask him to race it down the hill for me and my camera… but not before I grabbed these shots of his cuteness.  Like yesterday, these photos were taken with my Canon 50mm f1.4

I met up with Brett and Kerry and their family for a family photoshoot at the Rose Gardens at Emmerentia Botanical Gardens this afternoon.  We could not have chosen a windier afternoon, but thankfully we managed to find some sheltered spots for their photos… and away from the hundreds of picnickers!

I did enjoy the shoot, partly because their boys reminded me so much of my boys… so it wasn’t difficult at all to find things for the kids to do for the photos.

I take photos of my kids on their birthday.  I do it every year.  This is the first year though that Bradley has been completely uninterested in my photo story.  He was completed enthralled by the XBox 360 games that he got for his birthday.  I could just not compete for his attention today.

I met up with Kalpa and her family at the Walter Sisulu gardens this morning. It was their first family photoshoot ever, how exciting for me!!  She brought along hula hoops and bubble guns to keep the kids (age 4 and 2) entertained… and I was so impressed with them.  They were still going strong after the 2 hour shoot.

The kids actually found a frog in the water, so they tried to find another one with mom

The kids were playing on the floor behind my desk this evening, and when I looked around and saw the dimming light from outside shadowing the room, I knew I had to take out my camera.  The photo was taken at 6:30pm with the ISO set to 2500, hence the grain… I like it though… makes it moodier
