Claire and Roger are expecting their first baby any day now, and I met them at my favourite ruin in the veld for a maternity photoshoot this afternoon. They were such amazing clients and let me traipse them around the old house and around the veld for ages just so I could get THE shot. And OMW I’m so very happy with the results
I love the variety of shots I got today, and that they’re different to other maternity shoots I’ve done recently.

I really hope they had fun today, and I cannot wait to meet their baby in a few weeks time.
And I’ve put a few more photos (and some that are the same) on my Facebook page
These photos show a little bit of the fun we had on the shoot on Sunday morning with Angel et al. It didn’t take very long for Damien to figure out how to climb on top of the walls of the old ruin. As you can see the house has NO roof at all, and loads of trees growing in the middle of it. While I was taking photos of the other 2 boys, Damien took to climbing up… and every now and then I’d catch a glimpse of him and take a few shots.

Angel’s blog was the first local blog that I started reading when I started blogging 3 years ago, and I’ve been an avid follower of her blog, as well as her profiles on Facebook, Twitter and Flickr, ever since. I’ve been honoured to get asked by her and Neels (Glugster) to take their wedding photos next year, and I was equally thrilled when they asked me to take family photos for them too!
We met in Honeydew at my favourite ruin and Damien had a ball exploring the place and dreaming up parties and camp outs with his friends to decorate the place with more graffiti. I really wouldn’t mind actually, the place could do with more colour LOL! And imagine the photos I could take there then!
We did make new engravings on the walls though, when we saw that the LOVE wall was in the sun… and I needed shade for the best light

And I’d better stop there, because I know Angel is chomping at the bit to see them
hope she likes them!
Stef is a blogger, not that she’s blogged in a while which is SUCH a pity, and I was so thrilled when Angel asked me to take photos of Stef and her boys as a Christmas present to her friend. I met both families in Honeydew for their double photoshoot, and hopefully they enjoyed it as much as I did… and they like the sneak peak

I’ve decided now, that I really enjoy taking photos of teens… just love the moodiness I can inject into the photos.
A ruin on the side of the N1 on the way home from Parys.
