I had the MOST fascinating morning today. I went on a photo-journey to Soweto with a colleague and his friend, and these photos are just perfect for today’s “Striped” photohunt.
The photos were taken outside the new Orlando stadium in Soweto that is being built for the 2010 World Cup. It’s just a pity we didn’t stick around for longer to try and get some train shots as they whizzed by.

I’m going to be posting loads more photos from my morning over the next few days, so please come back to look!
I’m very thankful that Bradley’s teeth don’t really look like this…

I thought this shot was perfect for today’s Photohunt… the theme is “Aftermath”. It was a very rainy and miserable day today and the kids caused absolute havoc in the house!

On Thursday evening (in Hermanus) we went walked to the lagoon along the beach. It was so windy, but that was such a relief, because the sun had been a killer that day. I had such fun using my widest angle lens that I have… OK… it is the kit lens, so these photos were taken at 18mm. I could really have done with a 10-20mm lens this week! I absolutely LOVE how the wider angle lens enhances the blue-ness of the sky.

Windswept beach – I tried to capture the lines of sand being blown by the wind on the beach, but it hasn’t really come out.
