We went away for a few days to the Cavern hotel and spa in the Drakensberg, if you were wondering why I haven’t had any photos on this blog for a while ;)

There’s more of a story on my other blog if you’re curious…

In any case, I LOVED the whole experience, and so needed the break.  and surprisingly I didn’t take many photos… but I thought I’d show you my favourites…

Aren’t these cool?! I finally found the perfect place to try a double exposure on my 5D mkIII :)

Just loved these photos I took today from the car window while Lance was driving us to Parys to visit his mom… it was a really miserable day today, and really really very cold…

If you’re wondering how… I only carried my 50mm on me today… which was perfect to get a quick shot.

We travelled to Ballito today, and for a change I actually struggled to get my DSLR out… normally when we travel I have my camera on my lap.  This time it was just easier to use my iPhone and Instagram photos immediately to everyone… rather than taking the DSLR out, and using it.

But, there’s nothing that beats the quality of my camera… and I’m so glad that for part of the journey I made the effort, because I’ve got some awesome art images as a result.

The first 3 were taken as the sun came up while we were driving through the Free State.

and the last 2 were taken in Ballito as the sun set…

I also thought I’d show you the iPhone images I took today…

Hopefully the weather plays along with our plans tomorrow, and we can spend the day at the beach

I’ve just come home from a strategy weekend at Kloofzicht Hotel, in Muldersdrift; and although I didn’t have very much time to myself, I managed to catch the sunset last night, and then I woke up early (which was a huge feat considering the time I got to sleep) to get photos of the sun rising too.

I’m probably not going to be posting on my blog tomorrow, I’m flying to Cape Town to do some presentations and more corporate portraits (with some borrowed equipment), so until Tuesday night… have fun and  behave yourselves ;) Don’t miss me too much.

I just love the whispiness of winter clouds in Gauteng.

We went to a kids party just outside Magaliesburg today… yes… you read that right… that’s how far we drove!! Anyhoo, what a beautiful spot. It was held on the child’s grandparent’s farm and it was a boy’s dream with paintball gun shooting and quad-biking etc… those photos are coming tomorrow.
