Too gorgeous for words. Lovely picture
Ahww Jeanettem this one just melts my heart. Just beautiful.
Nicely captured
Love this one !
Peek-a-boo! The teeth are growing!!
It was Lance’s 40th birthday yesterday, and we had such a full day that I didn’t get a chance to edit and load the photos!
We took it really easy yesterday, just as he wanted it… he’s not interested in having a party so we’re actually going away for a night this coming weekend to celebrate. We spent most of the day at my parent’s house, where we had a braai (barbeque) and my mom made her famous chocolate cake with the now traditional smarties on it… and 4 candles, one for each decade![]()
Having a laugh are Brian, my dad, Elaine and Lance

Connor got very tired towards the end of the afternoon, and the only thing that he wanted was a granny hug and a story![]()

Happy birthday Lance. Looks like you had a wonderful day!
Such awesome smiles!!!
Such lovely photographs. I also want to Thank you for visiting Photography by Kirsten last week, I appreciate it.
Lovely photos! I miss the brightly coloured Smarties! ![]()
Connor is such a huggable ‘sausage pie’!!
Gorgeous pictures – such relaxed joy. There is also a striking resemblance between your dad and Lance.
Flip, those are amazing pics. x
Madi’s husband Pierre has been bragging for months about the game meat that he gets from a friend of his… and bragging even more about an Impala Sirloin recipe that he had made for other friends of theirs.
Lance and I were both intrugued when Pierre mentioned that he was cooking a Kudu sirloin for us for lunch yesterday when we got to their house, and were suitably impressed with the meal in the end!! It was awesome!! I don’t often have the opportunity to eat game meat, and this recipe with the meat wrapped in bacon (after marinading in olive oil, soya sauce, and garlic overnight) is so VERY yummy! The recipe is from a book called Karoo Venison.
So, of course I had to take photos of the process… and especially the bit with Lance and Pierre fighting with the string… of course I’m not sure why 2 people were needed for that, considering Jamie Oliver can do it on his own![]()

Ahhh!! Cute!
Ag man how special!!
Truly special pics!
Lovely Jeanette
“Nic-nic” is Connor’s way of saying picnic, and that’s exactly what we did this afternoon. We took our lunch, scooters and a couple of balls to Emmerentia and took advantage of the gloriously warm weather. The only thing that was missing was green grass, as you can see the grass still thinks it’s winter time as the summer rains haven’t started yet.
There was running…

… and chasing…

… and more running…l21

…and walking amongst the trees…

… and making music with sticks…

… and chasing Daddy…

… and watching radio controlled helicopters…

… and finally feeding the ducks

And those are this week’s Weekly Winners.
