Love this child to bits!
“Snow angels” on the grass

… then watching the clouds and making out dinosaur shapes in them and weaving that into a story

… and refusing to look at me…

… a perfect start to an evening after I get home from work.
I’ve been pretty bad in the last few weeks about taking photos of the kids, and exceptionally bad about taking REAL photos of them without asking them to pose. After I got home this evening, Lance went into the garden to play soccer with the boys… and the huskies joined in… so it was an awesome opportunity to just shoot and be with them.

The dogs always start wrestling and chasing each other when the boys are playing in the garden

Kimo rules the roost…

But when I’m in the garden, Kitara just attacks and chases him around.

And then she runs between our legs for protection… but you can see Kimo’s just grabbed her leg here… and then proceeded to drag her around the garden by her leg

Gotta love the late sunsets at the moment, so the kids took full advantage of the light, and had a swim after a tough game of cricket with dad in the garden. I took the opportunity to get re-acquainted with my back-up camera, the 50D. This time using my Canon 70-200mm lens…

And of course, what’s photos of my family without some of the huskies…

LOL and Bradley showing me his freestyle

M beautiful Canon 5D MKII got stolen out my car and I’m meeting the insurance assessor in the morning so y’all pray Outsurance pays out… please!! I’ve got the replacement quotes as they asked, have been through the police mills etc, now it’ the assessor’s turn.
I’ve fallen deeply in love with my 50mm f1.4 again… not only did I do the entire boudoir workshop with it last week, and the boudoir shoot on Sunday (seriously the entire shoot with one lens)… but aren’t these photos just dreamy?

* My Every Day project is my 2012 year-long project reflecting my life and things around me
I didn’t have a photoshoot this weekend!! It’s the last free weekend I have until March, so I just vegged… and spent time with the kids. This morning we went to Walkhaven to walk the dogs, and used my new wellies to squelch through the marshy bits, and I so regretted not taking my camera and macro lens because the veld was just beautiful!
Anyhoo, after a stinking hot morning, we had a massive thunderstorm this afternoon, and Connor got hold of my wellies to have some fun in a muddy puddle
I took the opportunity to test the review camera I have at the moment. These photos were take with a Sony SLT A77 DSLR with 50mm f1.4 lens. Man, the camera is fast compared to my 5D mkII!! It would be awesome as a sports camera.
