I took the boys to work with me on Monday, and we went to Sandton City… supposedly quickly… to collect a photobook (most gorgeous boudoir book with leather binding that’ll be delivered tomorrow to my client).  While we were there, I took the boys to see the Mandela statue in the square… because they couldn’t remember it… it’s not like we schlepp to Sandton as a family regularly ;)

Well, they spotted a child playing in the water fountain and had to join in.  As you can see Connor was very soon very wet… so our quick trip turned into a shopping spree as I tried to buy him new undies and a new t-shirt so that he could get dry!

Just a lot of innocent fun…

Lance let the kids play with their paintball gun this afternoon… and shoot the garden wall.

Connor got the gun as a birthday present from someone, and we actually hide the paintballs away until he can play with it with us around… just in case…

The kids swam at home yesterday afternoon… we actually had a relaxing home day for a change.  Lance had been trying to fill the pool with water… and it didn’t take them long to start playing with the hose pipe that was in the pool.

I just love these images of the boys. Just being boys…

I took the boys to my parents house for lunch today… well… I walked and they rode on their bikes and scooters to my parents house.  Yes, I was a little energetic  ;)

My brother was there with his wife and Erin… and you know how the boys love playing with their cousin :) .  Because Bradley had his bike and Connor his scooter, I watched them ride on the road for a while after lunch and Erin started out by just watching them, and then we convinced her to try Connor’s scooter and his helmet out.

As soon as I pointed the camera in her direction she started posing… LOL!

But thankfully, so forgot about me, and then I got some magic photos…

Connor soon stopped and let her have a turn… just love her freckles!

Couldn’t resist taking a photo of her Rhino badge she was wearing with pride today

Love the curled tongue… she was concentrating hard!

I love that my parents live on a quiet enough road for them to get taught some road skills in a safe-ish environment.

So a few weeks ago I said the boys were scootering around… now their bikes take precedence… go figure :)

It’s quite funny actually.  Their bikes were not used for a few months because there was a problem with their tyres.  Lance finally fixed the tyres last week, and it was amazing how much they’d grown!! We had to adjust the saddles on both bikes quite a bit.

They have wanted to ride in the early morning before school and when we get home in the evening… I just wish we live on a quieter road so that they could ride properly… but at least we have a big driveway area.

And tomorrow is a public holiday… and apart from editing and package shoots, I’ll be spending some time with the boys.  Think we’ll visit a local farm, considering Connor’s theme at school this week is “The farm”.

To everyone not working tomorrow, enjoy the day off… and those that are… have fun while you’re at it
