Fun with friends »

Sarah is in South Africa at the moment, and thankfully we managed to see her and the kids today before they jet back to Uganda.  The original plans were to meet up at Lemon Rose Farm, but we thought that it would be closed this weekend; so I invited everyone to our house for a breakfast/brunch thingy.   Everyone brought a few things to eat and drink and we ended up with enough food to feed everyone for the breakfast and a small lunch for the 7 of us and our kids (and my sister and her friend that arrived for lunch as well)!

It was such a wonderful day, with the kids spending most of the time in the pool and on the jungle gym.

And last but not least… Connor getting out of the pool.  He stayed in this position for ages moving closer and closer to the edge of the pool.  I was praying that he wouldn’t fall backwards.  This child of mine is going to give me heart failure one day… I actually wrote about some of his antics on my other blog yesterday!

Giving Mom heart failure

It’s such a pity she’s going home on Tuesday already, we were all really looking forward to a girls night out with her too!

PS.  If you’re wondering about the colours on the photos, I’ve used the Pioneer Woman Seventies action on them.  I’m loving these actions at the moment!

It’s time for some ice-cream »

The kids got a treat when we went to visit Marlise today, Tommie bought them all ice cream from the van driving past.  It was a huge treat for my kids… they’ve never done that before.

We did a secret santa thing at Bookclub for our last gettogether for the year.  I just loved this shot of Marlise and her prized bottle of wine…

Best buddies »

Bradley’s best friend (and her mom) came over for a braai (barbeque) yesterday, so of course they had to pose for me a bit :)  She’s such a little cutie!

They met at nursery school when they were 2, and now they’re starting big school together, and they’re going to be in the same class again.  Double trouble for the teacher, because they’re inseperable!

Before I hit the Christmassy photos, here’s a photo from Friday. It’s been raining quite a bit this week.

I tried to take another few photos of Connor for Christmas cards too… it’s a HUGE pity he had crumbs on his mouth and I can’t even clone them out!

Just leave me alone

On Sunday last week, we went to an online mom’s forum’s Xmas party and the boys got so excited when Santa arrived that they started dancing around in a group hug. It was so cute to watch
