I joined Marcia and Dion at their home to celebrate twins, Kendra and Connor’s, second birthday party.   Marcia and I have done a talent swap over the last while, and in exchange for a few photoshoots (this party being one of them), I’ve been getting some business coaching from her.  I met Marcia online through blogging and I did a family photoshoot with them last year, and it was so cool seeing other people at her party that she’s met online.  Most of them being moms of multiples.  In fact, there were 4 sets of twins there… all 2 years old!

I just loved her theme and decor.  She got all the decor items through a store on Etsy, and downloaded the designs… I think that’s uber clever!

These 2 girls were so sweet, and asked the baby’s mom if they could touch his feet :)   (this is their mom holding the baby)

The project I’m working on has virtually come to an end, and the team is busy splitting… yes I know… very sad.  We all went out after work this evening to News Cafe in Sandton to say farewell to Pavithra. She’s going back home to India next week after working with us for close to a year.

It’s been one hell of a year for all of us, but especially difficult for her being so far away from her family.

She was so very quiet when she got here… and oh my word, she’s not that quiet anymore :)   We certainly didn’t get to corrupt her too much while she was here though… her vice for this evening was one glass of coke before switching back to her beverage of choice… water… while the rest of us drank beer and sipped on cocktails ;) …  but she did manage to corrupt us along the way and we’ve all got water bottles on our desks now!!

LOL, so I thought I’d put one photo on my blog of her… thought she’s be tickled by it. I’ve been blogging about a colleague was complaining about me not putting photos on my blog every day… well she’s the person who complains :) ) she’s been reading my blogs every morning before I get to work, and often comments as I walk through the door!

OK… another photo of her… this time with our gift to her… a South African cricket shirt and cap… in the hopes that she’ll wear it with pride ;)

I really hope that all her plans work out when she gets back home.  We’re all going to miss her in our war room.

Taryn had her batmitzvah celebration dinner last night, for family and a few close friends only, at the Capri Hotel in Savoy, Johannesburg… and I was there to capture the special event.
