109/365 – Kitara and Kimo collage

The theme on IHeartFaces this week is “Collage”… and I could not think of a better lot of subjects for today that the 2 new additions to our family.  I know they’re not human faces, but hey, the kids ran away from me this evening!

The light was quite dim by the time I got home today, which is why their eyes look a little duller than the last photos I took of them… and I tried out some new Lightroom presets from TRA that I got yesterday.

Oh, and you see that photo with Kitara in the flowers?  When I took them to the vet on Saturday, he took one look at them and said “Oh look, 2 new gardeners” Hehe!

76/365 – More silly faces

After Kelley‘s comment on my post with Bradley’s faces the other day, I’ve decided to get my butt into gear and actually do something about putting photos of my kids on the walls! So, in anticipation of this momentous event, I needed to do the same kind of photos with Connor… to balance them out kwim?

It was a lot harder to get him to make faces, and he was rewarded with an extra long swinging session afterwards:)

I love the top row of faces :) I will say tho, that I’m surprised looking at the selection you got, that it was any effort at all to get him to make faces for you ;) He looks like he was having fun with it!

Hey can you share some exif data what iso did you shoot these and shutter speed. Cause this must be done real fast..sort of a burst mode.

24/365 – I love that look

The I Heart Faces challenge this week is all about textures.  I tried to get an interesting shot of my kids to texturise… but this was the best pose either one of them would give me (he was leaning against the wall for a split second)… you should see the rest:)  They just wanted to kick their balls and were NOT interested in my story at all.

I like it though.  It’s not often I get a quiet-ish shot of Connor.

I used 2 textures on this photo, and then layered Johnna’s Memories of Summer action from Coffeeteaphotography on top of it all.
