After following local style bloggers like Kim Gray and Being Brazen amongst others, for the last few months to get inspiration for my portrait and wedding photos; as soon as I saw Elaine’s outfit today, I decided to try my hand at taking photos of her outfit. Isn’t it gorgeous?! The dress is from Urban (they seriously need a proper website that’s not Hilton Weiner but anyhoo), and the shoes from Mr Price.
Urban has to be one of my favourite clothing shops at the moment… I’m buying more and more stuff from them.
Elaine actually wanted to remove her glasses for the photos, but I think they just made the whole look. Don’t you agree?

Elaine was cornered this evening at my mom’s house as she got home from work, and had to get her photo taken for my 365

It was my sister’s birthday today and I met her at The Green Peppercorn restaurant in Morningside for lunch… and what a lunch it was!! What an awesome spot!
Elaine had the sweet potato spring rolls with butternut and spinach and pinenuts… and I had the chocolate and chilli ostrich with cherries on potato rosti. It was so very yummy! Ooh and they had decent wine by the glass so I couldn’t resist that either!

It was Lance’s 40th birthday yesterday, and we had such a full day that I didn’t get a chance to edit and load the photos!
We took it really easy yesterday, just as he wanted it… he’s not interested in having a party so we’re actually going away for a night this coming weekend to celebrate. We spent most of the day at my parent’s house, where we had a braai (barbeque) and my mom made her famous chocolate cake with the now traditional smarties on it… and 4 candles, one for each decade

Connor got very tired towards the end of the afternoon, and the only thing that he wanted was a granny hug and a story

I got to my parent’s house this evening to pick up the boys, and Elaine’s friend Robyn was visiting… so they were the unlucky guinea pigs today
