10/365 – Diablo’s got blue eyes

I went to Louisa‘s house this evening to deliver her newborn photos on DVD, and couldn’t resist taking photos of their husky while I was having a cup of coffee.  How absolutely stunning are this dog’s eyes?!

My f-stop was a little low, but I liked the effect with the focus just on his eyes in this shot.

See the full set of 2010 photo-a-day photos on my Project 365 Flickr Set.

Girish (77 comments.) - January 12, 2010 - 6:53 am

Lovely photos. Great dog.

He looks like a wolf a bit :)

Actually I feel recently many of the portrait shots that I have seen look similar. All the focus is on the eyes or one of part of the face and rest of the body is out of focus. So, it’s perfect :)

Laura (46 comments.) - January 12, 2010 - 5:47 am

oh wow! Those are stunning!

Louisa (41 comments.) - January 12, 2010 - 5:44 am

The M Family | Johannesburg Family Photographer

I spent a wonderful afternoon on Saturday with the M family in a park close to their home north of Johannesburg.  I hope they had as much fun as I did in the end… the younger 2 girls were not quite pleased about the prospect of the photos but they soon warmed up to the idea.

I started the afternoon by taking photos of the girls with their pets before we headed off for the park.

Sisters with pet rats

Their dog was quite funny, and was talking to me while I took photos of him.

Weekly Winners 12 – 27 December

I’m telling you, there’s nothing better than celebrating Christmas in the southern hemisphere where you can enjoy the hot weather with friends and family and spend your days in the pool (or at the beach but we’re never that lucky at Christmas time). Jealous yet?;)Here are the last photos of our Christmas… I promise:)

Licking pool water
It’s the closest she gets to the pool, she’s very scared of the water.

Shark in the water
I have no idea where Bradley learnt this, but it’s the cutest thing.

Old Flame
These flame lilies in my mom’s garden only flower at Christmas time. My mom brought them back from Zimbabwe in the early 1980′s and they’ve been flowering in her garden ever since. They’re very difficult to grow, and this year only one plant is flowering.

That’s it folks;)I know, I’ve got a bit overboard this week, hope you’ve got this far:)
