Isn’t Kimo just beautiful?

I actually managed to get a decent photo of him without him jumping on me, or trying to bite my feet (he loves feet).  I discovered the trick you see… give him a bone… let him chew it for a while… get the kids to distract him… and then call him.  And then you get this “Do not disturb” look

Poor Jackie did this under protest… but was quite a good sport

Robbie is my parent’s old Labrador.  He’s such a beautiful dog, but is really really struggling now, and in fact has deteriorated quite a bit in the last few weeks.   He can hardly walk anymore, and can’t see very much or hear very much anymore… yet today had a shine in his eyes as he tried to play.

I went to Louisa‘s house this evening to deliver her newborn photos on DVD, and couldn’t resist taking photos of their husky while I was having a cup of coffee.  How absolutely stunning are this dog’s eyes?!

My f-stop was a little low, but I liked the effect with the focus just on his eyes in this shot.

I spent a wonderful afternoon on Saturday with the M family in a park close to their home north of Johannesburg.  I hope they had as much fun as I did in the end… the younger 2 girls were not quite pleased about the prospect of the photos but they soon warmed up to the idea.

I started the afternoon by taking photos of the girls with their pets before we headed off for the park.

Their dog was quite funny, and was talking to me while I took photos of him.
