I took delivery of my first album this afternoon, and I’m so very pleased with it. Adina‘s mom ordered it and it contains all the photos from her batmitzvah portrait session as well as photos from every year of her life. It’s a book containing very many memories.
It’s a leather bound book, only 15X20 cm, and the 15 pages are printed on boarded matt photo paper.

I really hunted high and low for a good photobook supplier, and I’m quite happy now. They have quite a big range of books and the quality seems fabulous. And it only took 7 days to print, thankfully, because the book is needed this weekend by the family.

Adina’s mom contacted me a few months ago to organise this portrait shoot ahead of her batmitzvah (I’m taking photos of her celebration next month). I took these photos of her, and others of her family in their BEAUTIFUL garden in Johannesburg. Adina’s mom was a little upset because the rain had destroyed most of the roses in the garden, but it worked out just fine for the shoot.
What also worked just fine, was the absolutely perfect weather… cloudy and cool! What a win all around
I finished Stef’s gallery tonight, finally, and while I was finishing off the editing these photos caught my eye. I love the moment that I captured here, and the images just make me smile!

I met Deidre and Skye at the Walter Sisulu gardens yesterday morning for their photoshoot. It was a beautiful day, and I’m very glad we met as early as we did, as it got very hot very quickly. Skye is a very cool and funky five year old, but OMW she made me work hard to get her to give me a real smile. We had a ball though wandering around the gardens and exploring all sorts of nooks.

Emma was my first newborn client, and I couldn’t believe it when Natasha phoned me to book me for her first birthday party! And OMW, she’s just too cute for words now! She’s so outgoing and was only too happy to play with everyone. She’s also very stable on her feet already and was whizzing around the garden on Sunday.
First up are photos of Emma…

… and now for the rest of the partygoers…

This little girl was quite funny, and ran away when she realised I was taking photos of her picking the flowers

We were all very surprised to see this little one jump in the icy pool (the weather was freezing last week so the pool must’ve been icy). Love the look on Natasha’s face when she hit the water!
