A whole bunch of bloggers and tweeters met up this morning for a brunch/lunch at the River Cafe in Sandton this morning. It was organised by Wenchy and it was great to see great to see everyone again, and to meet a few new faces.
And of course I had my camera, as did most other people so there are umpteen numbers of photos flying around the interwebs with proof of the happenings of the day
Gina’s Aaron was quite comfortable with the camera, and the opposite photo is on her blog
Meea’s Michael was such a chatterbox and kept Bradley company. It was great to see him make a new friend today.
Sally‘s Rachel and Sharon‘s Josh kept each other company for 5 minutes on the swings
The moms nattering
I really liked Jessica‘s new t-shirt
And then we had to leave, because Connor started getting “attacked” by bees, and he was petrified and yelling the place down. He had a close call when he squished a bee between his arm and his eye, and thankfully didn’t get stung! But that was enough excitement for me for the day, so I called it quits and headed home with 2 tired boys
I finished Stef’s gallery tonight, finally, and while I was finishing off the editing these photos caught my eye. I love the moment that I captured here, and the images just make me smile!

Louisa had her babyshower today at her mom’s house, and it was like a tweet-up considering the number of bloggers and tweeters in attendance
And OMW the pile of gifts was quite something to behold and she got SO many clothes. Squidgy will be dressed in brand new outfits daily for at least the first 6 months of her life! I didn’t take very many photos, but here are a few that I just had to take
Angel made the most divine peanut butter flavoured cupcakes with chocolate icing for the occasion

Sally, Laura, Exmi, Rebecca and Angel

Laetitia and Philli_girl

Arkwife with Arkbaby

How adorable is this babygrow? Philli_girl suggested that Louisa takes this one to the hospital

And the first recipient of a Bloggirls blanket, specially made by Laura’s mom!

And I can’t resist showing you this little munchkin… every time I pointed my camera in her direction she started grinning! It was so cute.

And my gift to Louisa… a voucher for a newborn session… my first attempt at voucher design and I think it’s pretty good!! Glad she liked the idea too, I was a little worried that I was a bit presumptuous about her wanting me to take Squidgy’s photos.

My weekly winners are a mish-mash of things I’ve seen during the week… like normal.
Here are more photos from the 27 Dinner on Thursday night at Capellos in Sandton City.

I took these photos of pink roses at Erin’s birthday party yesterday. I love the first shot, it’s very similar to my most Googled photo of red roses that I took nearly 18 months ago (I still get hits on that photo every week)

My family portrait shoot that was planned for yesterday afternoon got postponed because the youngest child is ill, so I used the time to go the Bloggirls meet at Secret Garden in Fourways. Connor had a blast playing with Jackson. It was a lovely relaxed afternoon having high tea with Philligirl, Boldly Benny, Louisa and Rebecca.

PS… please tell me what you think of my new layout… is it too green?
It started off being a Bloggirls evening with a few of us having dinner… then the Twitter community got involved… and it just evolved into a brilliant evening out with a whole host of local bloggers and twits! We all met at Cranks last night in Rosebank for dinner. I had a blast. It was fantastic meeting new faces and this morning I’ve been trying to put blogs to faces
And of course, I had to take photos
