Remember the photos I took at the Johannesburg launch of Richard Branson’s book “Screw Business as Usual”? Well, some of the images have been published, and I just have to show you!
Last week, the photo of Richard Branson and Cleo as well as a few images from Friday’s day with the Virgin Media Pioneers were published in the Times in the UK… and Jim was kind enough to buy the newspaper that day and put a photo of the page onto Facebook for me to see. I was not very happy to see that I wasn’t given any credit for the images, but anyhoo, nothing I can do about that!

And then on Friday morning I got a call from the Sunday Times. They were publishing an article about the Cleo Filander video that was played at Richard Branson’s daughter’s wedding, and they wanted to use my photo. I was thrilled when I got the newspaper yesterday (the newspaper came out a day early because of Christmas) and saw the size of the image that they published… and that the article was on Page 3… this time with my name underneath
)

And if you’re wondering about the video that was played at the wedding, here is it… hasn’t she got an amazing voice? And the video was shot by the videographer who joined me on Friday with the Virgin Media Pioneers…

A few months ago I got an email from a textbook publisher in the Netherlands, asking whether they could use photos from an old blog post from my 2010 Project 365, that they’d found via Google, in a new science textbook. LOL! I was tickled that Connor’s face would be included in a textbook, so I said yes.
These are the photos they found…

And this is the result…

Cool hey?!
One of my images from the photoshoot I did with the Branson Centre for Entrepreneurs in Braamfontein is now gracing the cover of the November 2011 SA Express in-flight magazine. I took photos of Lesego Malatsi just before he left for London Fashion Week.

I’m thrilled of course
my first print cover image!!
I haven’t shared one of my thank you’s from my clients in a long long time, and when I got this email from Marcia the other day, I just had to share it. It really really makes my day when I get emails like this… it means that I’ve made a family happy… and that I’ve succeeded in my quest to tell their story…
Because I know Marcia quite well now, and I’m linked to her virtually everywhere, I checked out her Pinterest boards the day before the shoot. I remembered seeing pins in my stream where she’d marked ideas for family photos. That way I had an idea about what she liked and was looking for from the shoot. This is one of the images that I just love… and one that I didn’t put up in the original blog post.

Anyhoo… this is the email I got when she got the couriered box containing the DVD.
Jeanette, I got it!
And I am ECSTATIC – the photos are everything I imagined and then some. I love the ones with the teddies (and they were a last-minute idea!)
Thank you so very much – gosh, I should have done this type of shoot ages ago!I am OVER THE MOON!
And I’ve just checked her blog too, and I see she’s posted something there too
It made me smile A LOT!
Tanya collected her prints and DVDs yesterday, and sent me this stunning email which I just had to share
I LOVE getting compliments like this because it means that I’m doing something right… I also love the fact that she likes my packaging, and not just the images
I collected my photo’s yesterday and I just had to send you a note to compliment you on the beautiful packaging – I almost didn’t want to open it
The care you take in your packaging of the prints and DVD’s is something not often seen today and the love you have for what you do is so apparent with the little personal touches that mean so much!
The prints I ordered came out beautifully, better then I ever thought and I cant wait to have them up in my home to be admired constantly.
Our photoshoot was really an investment and I recommend you without a second thought to anyone I speak to that is looking for a photographer.
I look forward to the next time I can have you behind the lens taking photo’s of my family.
Regards,
Tanya
