Natasha’s family is on holiday in South Africa from Switzerland, and wanted photos with the whole family before going back home. So we organised a family photoshoot in Bryanston in the garden.
Dawn and Jorg’s garden was full of pockets of places to do the photos, and I had a ball with the kids finding spots that were ideal. Thankfully I started with Levi, because he ran out of steam within 10 minutes. By then, the thought of a photo was too much of a chore for him.
One of his uncle’s got him a new walkie-talkie set. He carried that for the first part of his portraits… until he went climbing up an enormous rock and got frustrated with it coming unhooked from his pants. Man, this garden is amazing for little boys with secret passages and massive boulders to climb up.
I absolutely loved this fern covered rock outcrop for Amber’s photos. She’s almost a teen, and I really enjoyed working with her. I’m really quite pleased with her portraits. I think I’ll add one of the close ups to the Facebook album.
We managed to get one photo with Levi and his grandparents before he went running off.
I’m just so glad we persevered to get this family photo!
