My sister Elaine, got married to the love of her life, Bryan this weekend. If you’ve been following my Jenty blog you would have known that I was travelling to the Midlands for the event! They got married at a stunning venue in the Midlands called Providence… and no, I wasn’t the official photographer 🙂
Eileen from Bright Girl Photography was there to capture the event properly, and Elaine asked me to take some photos of them getting ready (before Eileen arrived) and a few random photos during the day. My boys were part of the bridal party too! Bradley was the ring bearer, and Connor had a surprise element in the evening to do when he presented a wedding cup to them after my dad’s speech… Eileen has a photo of that on her blog 🙂
Eileen has posted the photos on her blog already, so you can see the proper photos there!
It was awesome being a guest for a change, but I must say I was exceptionally aware of not getting in Eileen’s way. Because of that I really don’t have any proper couple photos, but hey, that’s what hiring a photographer is all about, so that your guests can actually enjoy themselves! I also restricted my lenses and equipment on purpose… I only took my 50mm lens and no flash (so that I wasn’t attempted to go overboard). Even so, I know I’m showing you far too many photos here… but hey… this was my sister’s day and it was just perfect!
Elaine got ready at Farside Farm, which is quite close to Providence… and the cottage was so perfect!
The farm cat decided that this was the place to be…
There’s a story behind this photo. The weather report depicted rain, and one of the guests, Paola, who came all the way from South America with her husband Terry did a ritual with knives and a lit candle… it worked! The rain stay away until night time!
We had music blaring from my iPhone during the morning… and this song was the song she walked down the aisle to 🙂
My mom made the hairpiece for her hair with some of the lace from her dress.
Eileen in action 🙂
Don’t my boys look cute!?
This is my favourite from the day 🙂
My mom made the wedding cake… her famous chocolate cake 🙂
The only photo I have of me… taken by Connor
