Andrew and Sandra’s wedding at Shepstone Gardens in Houghton yesterday afternoon, was the first one that I’ve done at the venue… and it was magnificent!
I just LOVED their ceremony in the gardens. Part of the ceremony involved 7 members of their families coming up with gifts signifying the 7 traditional Hindu wedding vows. I thought it was awesome to include their families in the actual ceremony too.
After the ceremony we had a ball take photos around the venue while the guests enjoyed canapes… which were absolutely yummy… in fact the food was to die for last night!! Hats off to the chefs, it was seriously amazing food!
You’ll notice in the photos that part of the decor included origami birds that were suspended from the ceiling… Sandra’s brother made them! Isn’t that special?! As for the rest of the decor… oh how I love sweatpeas, and I think it’s awesome that they included them in some of the vases. Some of the decor photos in my blogpost were taken by Juanette, who joined me again this week as my second photographer.
