Saaleha and Naeem got married 4 years ago, and didn’t really have couple photos taken on their wedding day. Saaleha contacted me a few months ago to book a Trash the Dress photoshoot in the city (also known as a Day After shoot, or Rock the Frock because you don’t really “trash” the dress, although in their case it’s now jolly dirty).  So, we met up in the Joburg CBD this afternoon for a fun shoot with a wedding dress and a suit jacket and a paper bouquet that Saaleha made specially for the occasion.

I just LOVED the bouquet!! So clever! And also loved the colour she chose… it just looked amazing against the old sandstone buildings.

We met in my new favourite spot in Johannesburg, and after walking around the beautiful old buildings, we then drove to the old station to finish the photoshoot.

  • Wow, she looks great, love the dress and the red jacket

  • Love the bouquet! Great photos against the marvellous old buildings and empty streets

  • Wow – I love these shots! I got married in the CBD in 2000 at The Rand Club – we chose a photographer who took fairly average and unimaginative photos of us… I would have loved wedding pics done in the street, with the beautiful old buildings as a backdrop! *wondering if 12 years later is a bit late for a TTD shoot*

    • Well, maybe don’t do a TTD, what about just a couple shoot for your anniversary? No need to do it in your wedding dress really
