I was invited, as a guest for a change because I review tech gadgets for Girl Guides, to Intel’s evening at Melrose Arch last night. It was rather different having an outside event in winter, but the cocktails and heaters around the place soon warmed us all up.
Because I wasn’t working at the event, I didn’t take many photos, but you know me, I can’t leave my camera at home so I had some fun with the 50mm without the flash
… which is why the photos are more grainy and organic than usual… I had to shoot at ISO2000 for the light.
The hashtag for the evening was #intelnewera and the best tweet for the evening won a ultrabook… and lucky @rubyletters won it!! She’s so very lucky… she wins so many things at Girl Guides events
Aren’t these drinks awesome?!! I can’t remember which one this was, but I had the amber mojito, which you can see also smoking in an image below… it was a normal mojito with beer! Very very nice!! And everyone was also raving about the lavender tea pot… it was a litchi and vodka cocktail made in a tea pot.
It was an awesome evening, and loved seeing everyone… here’s a tweet from Dave Greenway about the Ivy Bridge that was being launched
(partly because I want to test out the twitter feature on WP 3.4)
10% more power, 10% better battery, and 60% better graphoce. #IntelNewEra Ivy Bridge for the win
