It’s Amit’s Barmitzvah on Saturday, and I met up with him and his extended family at the Shul yesterday afternoon for his rehearsal photos. It was the first time I’d been to the Great Parks Synagogue in Houghton, Johannesburg, and wow, what a beautiful building!!
I do enjoy doing these photos. It’s normally the first time the barmi boy’s dad gets to hear him read, and yesterday was even more special because Amit’s grandfather read with him, instead of just listening.

Lovely pics! I do love the old Joburg red bricks as a background.
Stunning. Did you use a flash inside the building or was there sufficient light?
