We got back to Jozi yesterday, a day early, because the weather yesterday was horrific. So we had a free day today which never happens! We took the opportunity to check out Market on Main, which is in the heart of Johannesburg’s CBD.
What an awesome place!! Love that there are spots in the city that are being revitalised like this. I loved the venue, and the rabbits warren of foods and other stalls. It was jam packed, much busier than I thought it would be. I could have spent a lot longer there, wandering through the stalls.
You see this wall of A4 canvases? I want to do that!! But to do that, I need to go on a few more photowalks
I’m sure I have quite a few though, which I’ll get together in a few weeks time. I actually love the iwasshotinjoburg concept… it’s really worthwhile supporting them as they teach street kids how to use cameras properly.
Lance declared this to be the BEST chicken curry bunny chow ever!
We loved the homemade lemonade that was on offer…
Isn’t this space incredible?
I’ll definitely be going back.
I am on one of your photos
– can’t believe we were there at the same time and missed each other! Beautiful pics! Heidi
that looks like the coolest place Jeanette. Is it open every Sunday?
Colleen, it’s open every Sunday from 10am to 3pm
Certainly looks quite different from last Saturday!!! Bustling with people and goodies – we definitely need to go back .. on a Sunday !!!!
I love Arts on Main!
They are having a special evening market on the 1st September…I’m definitely going to make a plan to go
I never take photos like these. I feel so uncomfortable taking pics of strangers….and their shops and such. I admire you so much. These are all fantastic.
I love the look of Jozi through your lens!
Awesome pics!
Gorgeous pics! When you next go through, be sure to take a walk down the Road to the 12 Decades Hotel and it’s rooftop…
Sjoe, but you are talented! I’m definitely going to have a look-see! x
I love love love your photos! And I think we best def pay a visit. Been wanting to go since Fee mentioned it a while ago on her blog already
LOVE these pics and now I will have to add to my list of things to do – D and I would love it, wonder about the kids though?
What an awesome market! Your photographs are so wonderful, I want to see it in person!!
