Today was Social Media Day and all around the world, there have been meetups organised to celebrate it. To quote Mashable’s article about the day “There are 1,419 Meetups with more than 8,500 attendees on six continents..”
And I attended the Johannesburg meetup organised at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Rosebank. After a short talk by Jodene and TheBounce , it was down to the serious business of real life social networking. It was awesome to finally meet some people that I’ve been chatting to for ages… yes… I haven’t actually met everyone I’ve chatted to yet 
Hehe, and as you can see from the photos, there was a lot of tweeting going on during the evening.
