Praveshni and Bhavish’s wedding was 2 years ago. They contacted me a few months ago, and we arranged their “Day After” photoshoot for today. I’m calling this a “Day After” shoot instead my usual term for this kind of shoot, Trash the Dress, because their intention with the shoot was different. They wanted their creative wedding photos (done by another photographer) re-done, in order to complete their wedding album… so it was a full wedding shoot and I needed to capture all the detail as well.
OMW, and the detail was splendid. Her dress and his suit were just spectacular… and as for the jewellery… WOW!! It was such a privilege to be able to take these photos.
Seriously, they rocked. Such a beautiful couple, in the most amazing setting, with the most gorgeous yummy light, wearing the most incredible outfits… what more could a photographer ask for!
We met up at Wits University, and it was the perfect location (and we were had LOADS of spectators which was quite fun). The colours of the buildings, and the architecture just worked so well with their outfits. And then after Wits, we went to the Nelson Mandela bridge in Braamfontein for some city scapes.
First up though, the narial, which didn’t get photographed at all originally… I think I’ve made up for it
what absolutely beautiful objects!

It was a perfect afternoon!
You are incredibly talented!
oh wow
Stunning job Jeanette – the pics are fantastic!
Stunning photos and love her clothing.
beautifully done Jeanette.
the light was awesome on the bridge <3
did you have to get permission to shoot at Wits?
@Natasha didn’t need it. I checked with other photogs who have shot there. And no-one even batted an eyelid at us, and security waved me through. No problems. I didn’t try go into buildings though, I was happy to stick to the outside.
These are gorgeous, I’m sure they’ll be thrilled!
These are beautiful!
I LOVE the photo’s with the couple at the Pillars…they are my favourite even though it was really difficult to choose, they are all beautiful!
Stunning! Absolutely stunning!! Wow!
How absolutely beautiful!
Did they both do Physics?
If you’re ever, EVER in Grahamstown at the same time we are, we need to do a shoot at Rhodes with you.
A couple of years ago we went down for friends’ wedding and D and I pranced around campus taking (bad) self-portraits but it was still fun because that is where the magic first happened
We both LOVE Rhodes and Gtn and I bet it would have the same feeling for us.
@Marcia – No they didn’t do Physics, I just liked the door. I actually wanted to use the Chemistry door, but it was open
PS I got so carried away that I forgot to say – they are both very attractive and wow, they still fit into everything
Great shoot – love the location and composition. Well done
Oh my word, what a stunning looking couple and their clothes – absolutely breathtakingly beautiful.
