I used to rush when I got to my parents in the evenings. I used to just pick the kids up and get going to the shops and then home to make supper etc.
But, a few months ago that changed, and now it’s a slower process (I think it had to do with me having to take a photo when I got there while I was doing my 365 Project last year). I normally stay for a cup of tea while the kids play for a little longer… and then I go.
This afternoon wasn’t any different, except my sister came home to collect a few more things for her new flat (she’s moved out of home)… so the 3 of us had a cup of tea and a chat on the patio… I don’t actually remember when last that happened with just the 3 of us.

What a beautiful photo
Our lives are so rushed these days, it makes a quiet cup of tea with my precious daughters such a pleasure !! Special moments .. extra special memories !
Sometimes it just just so very nice to not have to rush. I’m sure you had such a lovely time.
You are so lucky to have the family so near to spend these special moments
I loved being able to sit and have a cup of tea with my Ouma when she was here. Special times that will be remembered forever.
I think it’s awesome that you live so near to your mom and that you get to see her so often during the week.
Has your sister moved close by?
