You see the shirt that Connor’s wearing? I bought it today (well I actually bought 2… one for each boy). I bought it knowing that it’s only going to be worn for a few weeks. Stupid right? Well, I think it’s stupid too!! The problem is that the school is also doing the Cricket Friday thing because of World Cup Cricket happening in a few weeks… and all the kids are encouraged to wear cricket shirts. Except… they’re as scarce as hens teeth… in fact they impossible to find!!
And… oh and… then there’s the Rugby World Cup this year too!! And I know there’s going to be a STUPID t-shirt thing for that too… which means another few hours with fruitless shopping on the horison for more illusive t-shirts that’ll only be worn for a few weeks!!

OK, grumble over… I’m not feeling this whole spirit thing clearly!
Quickly, run to Mr Price – they have very cute rugby shirts with “bokkie” on for a steal
@Cat, the rugby shirts are actually easy thinking about it… I also saw some at Edgars… will go shopping tomorrow!!
Jeanette, how do you get your blogpost comments to appear on your facebook post? is there a specific plug in for it?
Use the Wordbooker plugin
and you can choose which posts it sends to FB and/or your FB page
LOVE it, I have so much more control
Thanks so much, gonna try it out, so you not using networkblogs anymore?
No, I much prefer Wordbooker
Where did you finally find cricket tops? Do they schools insist on the real thing or are the kids allowed to wear plain green / yellow t-shirts? Connor looks cute in it
Fee, I found them at the school stockist… the school will only let them wear the official shirts, and not even another sport’s shirt with South Africa on it!
It is a shlep..just use the same “South Africa” t-shirt for all occasions.
Oh I *feel* you on this one. My kids school is always thinking up new things for the kids to dress up as! Drives me crackers. Although I must say – at least they let the kids wear *any* soccer shirt during the WC on Fridays. So at least if you didn’t have Bafana/England/Holland/Spain shirts you could wear like Man Utd etc.
Nice photo! I thought they could wear ordinary green shirts instead.
Love the first photo ~ man he is such a cute child!
Are you on leave that you are home this week?
