I have a tradition… I buy a new Christmas decoration every year.

While I was shopping for homemade goodies at the Home Industry down the road from my house, I spotted a few Christmas baubles.  Seeing that I was interested, the shop owner showed me the bigger decorations… and I could NOT resist buying this one!! He’s not small, and is about 30 cm high.  It’s made by Jim Shore, and it’s called “Santa Knows”.

Hehe   after a bit of excitement, it’s caused absolute pandemonium with the boys.  You see, we have a magic fairy on top of the tree, and she normally secretly tells Father Christmas if the boys are being good.  Now she has a bigger chore.  She comes alive every night, and turns the Santa in the appropriate direction… depending on whether they’ve been naughty or nice.

At the moment, he’s facing naughty… on Sunday afternoon, Lance and I heard a crash and came running into the lounge to find Connor clinging to the top of the burglar bars on the one window… and the glass completely shattered!! He’s freaking lucky he wasn’t hurt!
