I was privileged to have been asked to do the photos for the WIZO Bride of the Year event that was held at the HOD Centre in Orchards this evening.  All proceeds from the event went to WIZO and the Estee Lauder Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

The decor was fabulous… and I LOVED the balloon tree that dominated the one table

The entertainment for the evening started with some music…

… and then Don Packett (who was also a judge for the event) got the crowd going…  and it was very funny watching some of the crowd trying not to laugh at what he had to say…

… and just before the winners were announced Al Prodgers took to the stage for some more comedy

Rolene Marks from WIZO gave an awesome speech during the evening.

The MC, Bev… , was also one of the judges on the night, and the other judges were Don Packett, Jose (make-up artist), and Jared Orlin (You Entertainment Editor and founder of gossipguy.co.za)

And the 10 finalists were announced, after which they all had to get interviewed by the panel of judges for the last time.

The winning brides Kerri-Ann Girnun (second place), Cindy Liebowitz (first place), Taryn Winer (third place)

And lastly, the amazing WIZO team that put the whole event together..
