My  parents have this Jack Russell, called Jackie, whose favourite toy is a cut off piece of hosepipe… cut off, mind you, because she chews the pipe when she gets the chance!

This evening, Robbie, the old Labrador, was gently playing tug of war with her and the pipe; before she won the game.
Robbie is actually in a lot of pain at the moment with his hips and legs giving him problems, and I’m sure he started playing with Jackie on purpose. He’d noticed that I was getting frustrated because Jackie kept turning her bum towards me with the pipe, so I couldn’t get a clear shot.
He would grab the pipe and tug gently with Jackie, and she’d move away from me again. Robbie would look at me, and manouvre Jackie back so I could get my shot. I’m sure that’s what he was doing! He’s such a clever dog… hope the exercise didn’t make his pain worse tonight.
