The Anglugs Engagement Shoot

Angel and Neels (Glugster) met me in Newtown early this morning for their much anticipated engagement photoshoot.  I had a ball.  They brought quite a few props along with them so that the photos would tell their story.  And of course Newtown was just perfect for it! I just love the place with the run down buildings and roughed up walls… and of course the graffiti which changes every time I go there!

Angel and Neels met online and are avid bloggers and tweeters so it made huge sense to bring along the laptops for some photo fun:)

I just had to use this wall for a photo because there’s an Angel written on it!

Angel’s has become quite famous for her cupcakes, and she made a batch of strawberry and caramel filled ones for the shoot.  After we took the photos, we gave the rest of the batch to a woman who was walking down the street with a baby on her back and young child at her side… it took a while to convince her that it wasn’t a trick though… she didn’t trust us at all!

And then there was dancing.  The couple go to dancing lessons every week, and you can see that they really enjoy themselves there.

With all the rain that’s fallen over the last few weeks, this massive puddle has appeared in front of one of the graffiti walls, and the sun shone at just the right moment to capture these reflections.

And the last two photos are my favourites from the shoot…

oh my word – this is absolutely my favourite photo shoot you’ve ever done Jenty!

The graffiti is phenomenal – they almost *make* the photographs. I especially love the one with Angel and the ribbon in her hair.

Such a gorgeous, gorgeous result.

These are some real cool photographs. The background works so well. Lovely light again. Not harsh at all. Did you use any reflectors or something.

Keep it up.

My 2 favourites are the large “dancing” shot, where Angel’s kicking up her heel … and the last photo. That one is just divine, full of goosebump-inducing, intense lovingness.
