29/365 – Summer Party

Bradley got invited to Ciara and Erin’s swimming party today, and the kids had a ball swimming… they haven’t been able to do that in ages.

We’ve had incessant rain for days in Johannesburg, and the sun finally decided to appear half way through the party. I hadn’t thought that there would be swimming because it was actually quite chilly this morning so I didn’t even take their cozzies. Connor swam in his undies and Bradley found an old cozzie at the bottom of the bag that Lance brought with towels after a frantic phone call from me (and he brought my camera which I’d also left at home). Of course, they’re now burnt because I didn’t have any sunblock, but anyhoo!

I hadn’t packed my camera because I was supposed to go to a photoshoot later which was postponed due to the height of the river along which we had planned the shoot… so Lance kindly brought it to me so I could get my photo for the day and because the mom asked me to take some photos. It’s a pity the camera arrived after the cakes though… they were divine… a pair of flip-flops… one for each twin!

Connor refused to let the older kids have their turns down the slide and they got quite frustrated with him.

On the way home, I asked the boys if they’d had fun. Bradley replied “It was the best party EVER”
