The Gous Family

I just love meeting bloggers, and I was thrilled when Cat contacted me a few weeks ago to take photo of her family in Pretoria.  What a fun morning we had!

She specifically wanted the photos taken at the Struben Dam bird sanctuary in Pretoria (it’s very close to Menlyn shopping centre) as they’d had their wedding photos taken there 9 years ago, and they often spent family time at the park.  It was lovely actually going to a spot that meant so much to the family.

And as for the park… how absolutely stunningly wild!  It was perfect for photos!

There were patches of wild yellow flowers just perfect for some girly photos.

…And loads of trees to hug…  4 year old A got the idea as Cat was telling me about their wedding photos with them hugging a tree and she was trying to remember which tree it was.

Tree hugger

…And there was beautiful green long grass to have a chat with your twin

Twins chatting

…And loads of birds to watch flying past

… And little paths to explore

C

… And there was time to chat with the dog (gotta love the busy-ness of 2 year olds!)

The boys and the dog

… And more time to hug another dog

Getting a hug

… And we only just managed to round up all 5 kids for one shot

The 5 kids

… Before Mom and Dad could have a quiet moment alone

Quiet moment

… And then the fairy waved her magic wand, and it was time to say goodbye

A fairy

Cat, I hope you like the sneak peak, I really enjoyed my time with your lovely family.

Those shots in the tall grasses are great. The green and those smiles all go great together. What an excellent place for a photo shoot. :)

Gorgeous photo’s. Favourite has to be the “twins in conversation” – love the engrossed look on the one twins face.
