Cutest Superman this Halloween

I am superman

The kids dressed up this evening for Halloween, and even though we didn’t go trick or treating on the road (will not work on our road), we pretended to do it at home.  They carried little buckets and knocked on the front door and patio doors and got sweets in return I should really have...

Perfect superhero to match his active & daring(at times) personality. Very cute.

Blue eyes

Connor

Even though Connor’s eyes still look so very blue in photos, they are changing.  Just like Bradley’s did at the same age, his eyes are more grey now, and sometimes you can see the green starting to show.  In a few months time, I’m convinced that his eyes will be as green as Bradley’s are....

1-2-3-Jump!

Jumping flash

I’m getting home far too late these days to take photos without my flash, so I got my flash out this evening before it got really dark to see if I could get good photos of Bradley jumping and still keep the colours in the sky… and I succeeded  My flash work is definitely improving!

Jeanette (31 comments.) - November 3, 2009 - 9:42 pm

@angel… I used an external flash and just set it to ETTL and reduced the exposure a bit. I follow a blogger in the US… Neil van Niekerk http://www.planetneil.com/tangents/ and I’m learning a lot from that blog of his (he has a few blogs)

Angel (192 comments.) - November 3, 2009 - 9:30 pm

So how’d ypu do it?

Michelle - October 30, 2009 - 9:30 pm

Wow, what a great shot. Love it!

killlashandra (66 comments.) - October 30, 2009 - 7:51 pm

Avril (Mom) (385 comments.) - October 30, 2009 - 7:14 am

Kathy - October 30, 2009 - 7:06 am

Great shot Jeanette. Love Bradley’s expression and how his body has been captured!!!

Gilz (177 comments.) - October 30, 2009 - 6:07 am

This is brilliant….thats one for a frame.

Marylin (61 comments.) - October 30, 2009 - 3:03 am

Aww I love this! :)

I definitely need to invest in a flash at some point. That and a new body soon too, D90 is in my sights, just not my funding, lol!

Party at a farmyard

Farmyard cupcakes on stand

The kids and I were invited to a party on Sunday morning at Farmyard Frendz close to Northgate.  Another photographer did the main photos for the party, so I just had some fun with the camera and took photos of my kids and the animals.  We’ve never been to a party there, and I was...

Connor looks remarkably comfortable on that horse too! You might still have a rider on your hands! Those cupcakes look stunning – did they taste as good as they looked?

Firefly (284 comments.) - October 29, 2009 - 8:05 am

Holy smoke, Check those cupcakes.

Avril (Mom) (385 comments.) - October 29, 2009 - 7:59 am

Amazing cupcakes!!! Looks like a fun place! Great photos of the emus!! I see a smile on Bradley’s face riding the horse – he was doing so well with his riding – such a pity he stopped. He may take it up again when he’s older like Elaine did.

Corey~ living and loving (210 comments.) - October 28, 2009 - 10:43 pm

AMazing place. and those cupcakes. WOW! I wonder how much stuff like that costs. So much work goes into them.

ps…I say, “WOW” all too often, too. tee hee

The Conway family

John

When Noelle contacted me a few weeks ago to take photos of her kids at St John’s College I got quite excited.  I’d seen wedding and bridal photos taken at the school, and I knew the setting would be good… but I wasn’t prepared for just how good it was! It’s the most magnificent school...

@Nats, that’s exactly what I mean.

Natalie - October 30, 2009 - 8:31 pm

Awesome, as usual :-)
So, what do you mean by “senior photography”? You mean like last year in school? ‘Cos yes, that huge here in the US, especially Prom pics (aka Matric Dance).

Natasha Whiteley (53 comments.) - October 27, 2009 - 9:50 pm

beautifully captured Jeanette, well done!

ceri Sawyer (1 comments.) - October 27, 2009 - 1:20 pm

The pictures are stunning, i was the kids au pair for 3 and half years and its amazing to see how much they have grown, but yet the pictures capture their personalities exactly as i remember !

Gilz (177 comments.) - October 27, 2009 - 12:55 pm

WOW it just shows you how important the setting is to a good photo.

Jackie - October 27, 2009 - 10:00 am

Avril (Mom) (385 comments.) - October 27, 2009 - 6:47 am

Wow – NICE!!!! Very very special!! Wished I’d had photos like this of you three when you were at school.

john and lauren - October 27, 2009 - 6:43 am

they are magnificient. lauren particularly likes her photos.she has been tellin everyone how “pretty” she is, i she is actually copying down the website address so she can show her firends at school. . i also like the photos a lot. it’s a great reminder of the school that i have been to, an you are right you don’t really notice the beauty of the school when you are drudging through the corridors from class to class.. thankfullt though this will be a rminder. . .thank you very much.
sorry the post is a bit long :)

Meriel - October 27, 2009 - 5:19 am
