I was hugely privileged to witness my sister Elaine, graduate this evening.  My parents are in Ireland at the moment, so I got to see her graduate (she only got 3 tickets to the graduation ceremony)… and have some fun taking photos of her and her friends.

She was awarded her Honours at UJ in Marketing Management with Cum Laude!!  (i.e. she’s very clever )  There were only 3 other people in her class that graduated with Cum Laude.

And some photos with friends… Natalie went to Sweden with Elaine for an exchange program during their degree.

It was a fat reunion of friends, as they finished last year, and have hardly seen each other this year.  The graduation ceremony was late in the year, as they had to complete a 6 month working practical to complete their honours.

Their professor, also joined in with the posing for photos!

And finally, the reason we were all there…

There was HUGE applause from the audience for the guys graduating Cum Laude, and (I missed the shot) the chancellor stood to shake her hand and congratulate her.

We’re all very proud of you Lainey, and I know Mom, Dad and Carl would have loved to have been there too!
