I’ve decided I need more practice with my flash, so I got my flash and transmitters out this evening and had a bit of fun. This was taken with one flash with a diffuser (held by Lance to the left of me), with the radio poppers attached.

I like the effect of the photo, but I think I need more light from the other side. I’m going to get another flash tomorrow and hopefully a softbox and umbrella too.
This strobist equipment is really small and light and easy to set up. A few weeks ago, I borrowed an extra flash and some other equipment from za5, and travelled to Cape Town to do a portrait session for a corporate, and they turned out incredibly well… so I’ve decided to kit myself up that way instead of getting studio lights. Once I have that equipment, I’ve basically got my studio setup, and I’ll have a travelling studio too.
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
Very nice!

I actually like that alot
A lovely portrait. I was told by a friend that there is an action you can dowload for photoshop that you can use to rectify your images with dark sahdows. It works quite well. I don’t know if you use Photoshop but if so and you are interested the action is called ‘Tracy’s Fill Flash’. Here’s the link.

Hope you don’t mind
