I haven’t posted landscapes on my blog in simply ages, so I did my trick yesterday again and took these photos from the car (at 120kph) on the way home from Parys in the Freestate yesterday afternoon. I haven’t actually been very successful with this since I got my DSLR, but it works quite well with the Sigma f2.8 24-70mm lens now because it’s a fast lens.
It was so nice to see all the water in the rivers and on the farm land for a change after all the rain we’ve had recently; but it’s very clear from the landscape that winter is on it’s way. Just look at the browns and yellows that are starting to appear already.

LOL, I don’t know how you manage to take shots from a moving car! Great shots thought, the clouds are awesome! The last one is definitely my favourite!

Wow these are really cool! I think they would be stunning on a canvas!
Gorgeous landscapes. I would have never known you were driving in a car! I love those rolling hills.

Oh I just love that last photo with the hay-bales & windmill
They certainly don’t look at all like you took them from a moving car!

Countryside landscapes are always interesting. I absolutely love the third picture with the hay bales.
I don’t know if the do it around there as well, but down here in the Eastern Cape I have seen some farmer that wrap them in white plastic. Somebody once said it looks like elephant toiletpaper and somebody else called it packed lunch. But for some reason the cattle don’t eat these round bales. Why, cause they like having a square meal.
