I picked the kids up quite late this evening, and hadn’t taken a photo today either by that time, so I told the boys we needed to go to the shops to buy bread, milk and flowers.  The idea was to take some creative photos of the flowers.

Bradley caught the flowers word very quickly, “flowers?” he says, “for the house?”.  “Yes”, I replied “because you father doesn’t buy me flowers, I have to buy them for myself”.

Bradley then says “I’ll tell Dad that he has to buy you flowers… because you like flowers… all ladies do”  Hehe, not sure that would work, but it’s worth a try ;) , maybe if Bradley tells him, he’ll actually buy some for me.

So, I say “Yes, I love flowers”. Then there was a higher pitched “Me too” being shouted from the other corner at the back of the car. “Me too, me too” Connor was chanting.  Then Bradley again “Yes Connor, boys can like flowers too… because you can get red flowers, and yellow flowers, blue flowers and even green flowers!”, and then there was more “Me too, me too, me too” being shouted!

Once we finally got to Woolies, they only had chrysanths left, and they’re not my favourite flower, but the kids were so hyped up by then about the flowers, that I bought a bunch of yellow ones anyway.

  • Beautiful photo!! Love the angles!

By the way I have voted already but tried again just now and was able to vote! Had difficulty submitting but once it went through it was accepted. Maybe that’s what happened the first time and my first vote didn’t go through – need to check the emails to find out.

  • And do you think the message went out to hubby regarding your love for flowers. Maybe he’ll get home tonight with a bunch.

  • I love the angle too. They would look probably “boring” just in color. I like your decision to change it to a B&W shot. :)

And Connor is soooo sweet, as always :) )

Finally I’m able to visit your blog again – thanks to good connection quality – and sorry for the long absence! Traveling and driving sometimes almost 8 hours a day is very tiring and often I just don’t feel like sitting on my laptop at all. I know it’s sounds like an excuse, but it is not! :) )
