I was privileged to take photos at Izzie’s 70′s birthday party on Saturday night. The party was held at a family home in Johannesburg, and all his close family and friends were there for the occasion. And what a fun bunch of people they were, I’m sure the party ended in the wee hours of the morning!
Here are my favourite shots of the evening, I hope you enjoy the memories when you go through all of them later!
Posing with the grandchildren
.
…and the 2 youngest grandchildren… there’s only 9 months difference between these 2 boys… the parents need a medal!

A gathering of close friends

Friends for 52 years – how special is that?!

All his grandchildren took it in turns to say a poem or speech or sing a song for him

And this has to be my favourite shot of the night…

And last but not least… the cake…

Wonderful, wonderful shots! I can’t imagine being the upper years old… but then, I could never imagine the next ten years all my life. It really does sneak up on you

What an honor. You did a great job. I love the one of the two men.
Jeanette, the pictures are absolutely awesome. I just love the first one of the grandparents and grandkids. Those are the photos that people look at years later when people have passed on and remember the good times. The one of him hugging the boy (your fav) is very special as well. One mighty WELL DONE on this project.
