Weekly Winners 12 – 27 December

I’m telling you, there’s nothing better than celebrating Christmas in the southern hemisphere where you can enjoy the hot weather with friends and family and spend your days in the pool (or at the beach but we’re never that lucky at Christmas time). Jealous yet?;)Here are the last photos of our Christmas… I promise:)

Licking pool water
It’s the closest she gets to the pool, she’s very scared of the water.

Shark in the water
I have no idea where Bradley learnt this, but it’s the cutest thing.

Old Flame
These flame lilies in my mom’s garden only flower at Christmas time. My mom brought them back from Zimbabwe in the early 1980′s and they’ve been flowering in her garden ever since. They’re very difficult to grow, and this year only one plant is flowering.

That’s it folks;)I know, I’ve got a bit overboard this week, hope you’ve got this far:)

WOW! I have never seen or heard of a flame lily, but that is gorgeous. I adore lilies and I just had to show that to my husband :)

What a beautiful set of shots. I just love that you all were playing in the water during Christmas. What fun!

They are all lovely Jeanette, I have some difficult bulbs here as well. They sulked for 10 years after I transplanted them.. *sigh* and only flowered last year.. I thought the wallabies had eaten them but no, they were just sulking.. xoxoxox Yay for Christmas in the pool.

julie (3 comments.) - December 28, 2008 - 9:57 pm

I love the shark thing — it’s very cute! The flame lily is gorgeous. It’s very strange to see photos of people in pools and flowers and all when we have a couple feet of snow and it’s 3 degrees out!
