Bradley got this Radio Controlled car for Christmas from his godfather 2 years ago, and he’s never really been interested in it, so it’s been gathering dust at the top of a bookcase (to keep it away from Connor). I took the boys to the shops this morning, and as I was getting batteries from the shelf, he asked me if I could get new batteries for the car (well, one of them anyway, he has 3 gathering dust).
And that’s exactly what we did… we got home and checked the sizes it needed and thankfully I had them on hand and he spent the rest of the afternoon playing with it. In fact, this was the only one that worked in the end; one of them needs rechargeable batteries and we couldn’t find the controls for the last one.

It’s so lovely spending time at home with the boys and being able to let them rediscover all their toys.
Such concentration on his face…beautifully captured Jeanette.

Lovely captures!! I can remember my children doing the same thing with toys they had forgotten or that had been put away.

lovely. Your photos always tell a story, and these are no exception.
He is now old enough to enjoy them now and will have loads of fun!! Make the most of every moment with the boys – they are precious!! (even though I miss them!)
LOVE the pics! How awesome is it that your boy is rediscovering old toys right after Christmas? It’s funny…forget the Barbies and Leap Frog systems, My Little Ponies and Tinkerbells (the Christmas presents I’ve let them have so far), my girls currently love their old blocks. They sit and make “tall towers” for hours at a time.
