On the way home from work two weeks ago, my dad heard that 2 of the Kanonkop wines won had international awards for the best Cabernet Sauvignon and best Burgundy.  He bought a bottle of each of the wines in question at the bottle store… along with throngs of other people who’d also heard the same news bulletin.  In fact, he got almost the last bottles – the guy standing behind him took the rest of what was on the shelf!

We opened the one bottle yesterday for our Christmas lunch, and OMW it was just too yummy for words!  I just love this photo I took of my dad and his glass of wine.

cheers

When Bradley woke us up at about 5:30am, he was so excited!! LOL, and it was so infectious… well… it was… once we’d woken up a bit :)

The excitement started last night actually.  We went to my mom’s house for Christmas Eve dinner and after dinner, I phoned Santa for him (aka my dad).  Bradley could hardly contain himself after that and kept telling us that Father Christmas had said that he was on his way to our house and that he’s on the Nice list and then he kept saying over and over again… “I spoke to the real Father Christmas… I’m going to tell all my friends…”.  LOL, it was so cute!!

We also tracked Father Christmas’ progress on Norad yesterday, and by the time we’d got home last night, it looked like he was about to arrive in Africa… OMW… that made him fall asleep fast :)   There was no way he was missing out on presents because he was awake!

Look what I got!

When my mom told me that she was baking mince pies and shortbread yesterday, I invite myself for tea.  There’s nothing better at Christmas time than eating my mom’s homemade mince pies.  And this year, she managed to find Fruit mince at Woolies that is sulphur free, so Bradley could eat them too!  Connor absolutely loved them, as you can see above… he kept saying “yum yum” as he was biting into them.

Have a very merry Christmas everyone!

Love, Light and Happiness to you all.

I took photos of some of my family while I was in Hermanus last week.   It was quite strange to take the photos, because it sure wasn’t a planned trip, and I’d sent my cousin an email about two weeks ago recommending a photographer (my cousin lives in the US) for her family photos.  LOL, funny how that turned out! I took all these photos in my Aunt and Uncle’s garden.
