very clever takes on the subject. The last one is great, I love the way you use extreme angles sometimes to emphasize direction, and make something ‘everyday’ seem fresh and exotic!

Tanya - July 3, 2008 - 4:59 pm

Photohunt: Bright

We went to Lemon Rose Farm again today, and I managed to get some shots of the guinea fowl that wander around the place. I love the BRIGHT blue on their faces, because it contrasts so nicely against their body feathers. Check out more photohunters here

crazy working mom - June 28, 2008 - 5:49 pm

Great shots. We used to keep those things around to eat the bugs around the place, especially the ticks. They are terribly ugly birds, but they do the trick!

Sure is a beautiful sight. You have a lovely blog.

photowannabe - June 28, 2008 - 1:52 am

Beautiful rosy sunset. Lucious coloring.

Jim - June 28, 2008 - 12:24 am

THAT is a beautiful sky! Wow, what a marvelous glow at the horizon.

I’ve seen a lot of skies similar to that one, but very seldom with such a soft glow. Jenty, you’ve done an excellent job with that capture.

Also, I like the very narrow DOF you used with the flower photo: detail and softness all at once.

BTW, did you get your files?

Abraham Lincoln - June 27, 2008 - 11:59 pm

Thanks to you and others, I get a big lift out of trying to outdo myself and post things that may surprise some and make others laugh a bit and most of all make lots of people aware of things that might not know much about.

When somebody actually takes the time to write a comment about my work and what I do, that to me is the biggest gift a person can give another. It is a smile on greeting, it is a welcome handshake, and it gives me and my family some hope that the dementia farm is still down the road.

You, yourself, are an inspiration to me. I come to say, thanks for taking the time to photograph things of interest and great beauty. Without that, blogging would be about as exciting as a wart on the end of my nose.

And rest assured, when you do visit, I will always try to visit your blog, in return, and leave a comment on your blog. I might not think your photography is ready for the big masterpiece award, but it got my attention.

Sincerely,

Abraham Lincoln
