Broken windmill

Taken in the middle of Fourways north of Jo’burg. As for the sky… it was a typical winter’s day in Gauteng today.

  • A broken windmill is better than none at all. Very nice picture.

I like to see the old windmills because they were all working when I was younger and everyone had one or two. Now, around here where I live, I seldom even see a broken one. So your post is filled with memories for me.

Sometimes I think the windmills around me will all be broken soon. One of the cattle ranches in southern New Mexico just lost all it’s water and they’re selling out. More broken windmills on the way.

Great Sky watch photo. I’ve always been fond of windmills, and what they represented (life-giving water) but I don’t see them very often now.
