Ok, I’m posting 2 again today. I can’t decide. Lance likes the pelargonium flower, and I quite like the felicia flower.
These were taken in my mom’s garden again. I’ve actually planted felicia’s in my garden now, but they’re new and quite small still. They’re such pretty little fillers, and the bonus is that they’re indigenous!
I’m on a 3 day facilitation course at the moment which is being run at a conference centre in Craighall Park – Hackle Brooke. The venue is next to a park area with a small dam and stream running through it. This weaver was busy building yet another nest amongst the trees and reeds next to the verander area of the venue (it looked like he had another 2 that had been rejected by a female – I watched him for quite a while in order to get a better shot).
Taken in my mom’s garden. I think the photo looks a bit like a bunch of rose buds, but I took the photo of the flowers on the climbing rose bush itself (using the macro function). It looks magnificent at the moment… like a waterfall of yellow fluff from far. You can’t really see from the photo how small the flowers actually are – they’re tiny! I think I need one for my garden now.
I took more than one photo (obviously LOL), and had a hard time choosing one, so there’s another favourite on my flickr account.
We had a braai at home today with friends (it’s a public holiday today – Heritage Day). I didn’t feel like steak and chops etc, so I made Jamie Oliver burgers. Yum!
So in honour of National Braai Day, I just had to post a photo of the food cooking.
